Re-Design

Photoshop - This was an in-class project meant to play with our creativity skills. The challenging part about creating this product image was figuring out a concept in the first place. Our assignment was to re-create an everyday item and with a good reason for the re-design. Here I created a dropped format for cough syrup because I do not like trying to handle pouring cough syrup on to a spoon while sick. Requires far too much hand-eye coordination to avoid spillage while you’re feeling under the weather. Therefore this product was created to give the exact dosage that a person can just squeeze directly into their mouth without spills. The logo takes the idea of honey into a cough syrup for it’s soothing benefits, then the hexagon from beehive shapes is brought in as the “O” in Kofzy. In addition to this logo, I manipulated the “Y” into being the handle for the honey spool. It’s a nice touch to bring together the logo and image.

Typographic Art for Society6 Products

Illustrator - This was a fun personal project learning to work with Illustrator for product imaging. The most challenging about this was sizing. Society6 offers many different sizes for print, so I had to create a few size differences and change up the image placements to be able to maintain a standard look I wanted. At the same time, I must pay attention to the pixel quality the application displays while fitting the image to maintain the quality.
